Biograpghy

Cameron Phillips is a local artist who goes by the name "ChosenMisfit", was born in California, April 1999.

He moved to Colorado when he was 8 yrs old and went to school there since 2nd grade.

He went to high school at Douglas County High school where he took a piano class his senior year.

Where he found an interest in learning the piano and making music with his brother.

He graduated from there in 2017.

In 2019 he joined a gap year program called Up With People, a non-profit organization that goes to different countries around the world spreading positivity through music and volunteer work.

The moment he really took music seriously was one night in a studio in the basement where he and his brother were given encouragement from their mom and an also well known musician named V, who talked about their potential. Which kick started his music career.

One of the few things that inspires him is first and foremost Jesus Christ, because without him Cameron could do nothing. Jesus is the source of his strength. Another thing that inspires him is his brother Andre’ who goes by "Motiv", and not only his talent but his work ethic too and how well he listens to music, dissects it, then puts it all together. The last person who inspires Cam was Michael Jackson. Cam grew up listening to Michael Jackson ever since he was a baby. He would mimic Michael’s every move in front of the TV. He definitely gets his singing style and whole vibe from Michael Jackson. Over the years Cameron has gravitated to other artists that helps give him ideas such as Whitney Houston, Duncan Laurance and Alejandro Aranda.

The reason why He creates music one, is because he believes that is what the Lord has called him to do in his life and two because it's inspirational, fun and something he believes he was just born to do. Cam also thinks that it's interesting to experience how you can make something so powerful with an idea and an instrument/voice. He believes music has power and he wants to use music as an opportunity to tell people about Jesus and ultimately bring them to have the choice to have a personal relationship with him.

Some of the happiest moments Cam has had in his life is the times where he's in the basement/studio making music with his brother. He and his brother also spend countless hours grinding to change the music game.

Cameron’s motto is (Isaiah 6:8). He lives in Colorado currently.
